Ladera Ranch, California

THE HISTORY

About as old as this century, this 4,000-acre master-planned community is located east of Mission Viejo along Antonio Parkway. It is built on portions of the O'Neill, Avery, & Moiso family's 23,000-acre Rancho Mission Viejo cattle ranch which is the largest remaining working ranch in Orange County.

To create a sense of community, Ladera Ranch villages are broken into districts which are then broken into individual neighborhoods. Miles-long Ladera Ranch Trail connects the entire community, as well as much of the 1,600 acres of open space.
