Displays animals native to the southwestern
United States in naturalistic habitats in
eight acres of native plants and majestic
oak trees. Animals to see include black
bear, mountain lion, North American porcupine,
beaver, bald eagle, golden eagle and many
more. Harbor seal, bison and many more animals
will be coming to the zoo in the futurewhere
you can see birds and animals native to
the Southwest. A petting zoo is also available.
Educational programs are designed to
provide academic transfer to four-year universities,
courses for personal and professional development,
and career training for business and industry.
Their friendly and helpful counselors will
help you choose from over 300 subjects in
which you can earn an associate degree or
vocational certificate of competency.
California's oldest county park (donated
by James Irvine in 1897) has a rustic, early
California atmosphere and offers such unique
features as the Orange County Zoo and pony
rides. It's also an ideal setting for observing
wildlife, visible along the nature trail
and on the surrounding hillsides.

Irvine Park Railroad is a one-third scale
train that takes both children and adults
on a scenic, 12-minute ride through beautiful
and scenic Irvine Regional Park. Other park
attractions include bike and paddle boat
rentals, the Orange County Zoo, pony rides,
full-service snack bars and more. Annual
events include an Easter Eggstravaganza,
Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Train. Located
in the foothills of Orange, Irvine Park
Railroad opens daily at 10:00 AM.
