Dana
Wharf Whalewatching
Our year-round whale watching cruises get
our guests up close to watch these magnificent
ocean creatures play in our coastal waters.
Nov-April we go out looking for the California
Grey Whale and May-Oct we go out looking
for the magnificent Blue Whale. You'll also
get the opportunity to see pods of dolphin
(which sometimes number in the thousands)
and sea lions. Come witness a variety of
ocean mammals in their natural environments.
Dana Point is ideally located and is said
to be a reference landmark for the Whales
by many ocean naturalists. Our captains
are very experienced, and will educate you
on the whales and dolphins.
Newport
Landing offers California Gray Whale watching
cruises twice daily Monday thru Friday and
three trips total on Saturdays and Sundays.
Since the Gray Whale can be readily found
within a few miles off the coast, a simple
cruise of a few hours lets thousands of
people view not only the whales in their
natural habitat, but also many species of
resident marine animals, such as common
Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, Sea Lions,
Marine Birds and occassionaly Killer Whales
and Sharks.
Sightings
are Guaranteed: You will get a free trip
if we do not see whales or dolphin!
