For students entering grades 8 and 9 in the Fall
Educational summer camp that teaches kids all about water and the environment. At Water Camp, students will participate in fun, hands-on activities such as ocean water sampling and testing, environmental crime solving, and water facility tours. Students will get wet and have fun while learning about our most important natural resource – water.

Two camp sessions will be held this summer, June 23-27 and July 14-18. There is no cost to attend and participation is limited to twenty students per session. O.C. Water Camp is sponsored by over 25 Orange County government and non-profit organizations.

Camp Discovery at Discovery Science Center - Santa Ana
Join Discovery Science Center this summer as we take Science, Southern California-style to new heights! Experience Camp Discovery this summer from June to August 2008. Camps include Summer Smiles and Science Sizzle for ages 5 and 6; Ultimate Exploration, Project Discovery and Digital Comics & Stories for ages 7-10; and Robotics, Game Masters, Animal Safari and Thrill Rides and Rockets for ages 10-13. What was it like to live off the land as a Native American, grow up in colonial Virginia before the Revolution, celebrate Spanish culture on a New Mexico rancho, be a Swedish immigrant pioneer, escape from Civil War slavery, live a privileged life in New England, face the challenges of the Great Depression, or adjust to life during World War II? Journey through time to meet Kaya, Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, Kit, and Molly. Through reading historical fiction, cooking, sewing, crafts, art, games, and fun activities, girls will celebrate the lives and capture the spirit of eight inspiring heroines who lived during significant events and important times in America’s past.

Encore Academy Drama Camp - Yorba Linda
July sessions, Ages 6-16
Each day at Encore's summer day camp will include an intensive class session each of Acting/ Improv and Musical Theater, plus a daily special craft or lesson such as makeup for the theater, stage combat, set design, playwriting, theater in the park, etc. Students will be divided into two age groups for their classes, but will gather at the end of each day to rehearse their Revue to be presented for family and friends at 1:00 on the last day of camp. Etnies Skate Park Summer Skate Camp - Lake Forest
With over 500 participants successfully completing skate camp at the Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest since we opened in 2003, our skate camp programming has grown into one of the most successful skate camp programs offered through city programming. Each day of camp will consist of detailed instruction, camp activities, skateboard movies, games, and a lunch break. Specific clinics covering the basics of ollies, kick flips, rails, boxes, and ramp skateboarding will be held by experienced Skatepark staff. Each week campers will also receive a DVD of the week's highlights produced by the Skatepark staff along with an introduction to skateboard videography. All proceeds go directly to keeping the park free.

Walking on Water Surf Camp - La Jolla
