Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through early April.

Since the Gray Whales migrate just a few miles off the coast, simple cruises from Dana Point and Newport Beach enable you to see these spectacular creatures in their natural habitat.

ANNUAL BOAT PARADE OF LIGHTS

This year, the theme for the 34th Annual Boat Parade of Lights is ‘SANTA’S SEALIFE CELEBRATION'. Boaters from all around Orange County decorate their boats and vie for awards. You can view the parade free from anywhere in the Harbor, or make reservations at one of our restaurants to view it from a cozy and warm spot. Come on down and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade - Laguna Niguel

Featuring marching bands, equestrian units, youth groups, vehicles, civic groups, schools, local dignitaries and, of course, Santa.

Annual Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade
Newport Beach

FREE to the public. The boat parade will light up the harbor for five consecutive nights. The parade starts at Collins Island at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately two and a half hours. Providing the backdrop for the parade is the Ring of Lights waterfront home and business decorating competition. FREE for spectators, entry fee for participating boats.

Newport Landing Sportfishing - Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade Cruises

Newport Harbor comes alive in December with decorations. Homes, yachts, docks, whole landscapes are transformed into a magical holiday experience. Newport Landing has 5 ships that offer cruises during the entire month of December. They also participate in 2 cruises nightly during the parade (December 17-21). Cruise of Lights - Huntington Beach

Take a narrated cruise through the waterways of Huntington Harbour to see the holiday lighted homes and decorations in this annual event .
Location: Park in the Huntington Harbour Mall lot (corner of Algonquin and Saybrook) and get on the designated buses that travel a short distance to the boat launch area.

Casino Night at the Pond

For this year’s event, you will want to dust off your cowboy hat and boots and get ready to have an exciting evening, Old West-style as the arena will be transformed into the Center Ice Saloon. Guests in attendance will enjoy casino-style games such as roulette, blackjack and craps alongside the entire Ducks roster and coaches and as well as have the opportunity to place bids on a variety of silent auction items throughout the night as well as enter to win a variety of fabulous prizes in the evening’s opportunity drawings.

Proceeds from the 2009 Anaheim Ducks Casino Night assist 44 Women for Children, an auxiliary of Orangewood Children’s Foundation, in its scholarship efforts for Orangewood’s youth. ms.

Annual CARe Show to Benefit San Juan Capistrano Animal Rescue Organization - San Juan Capistrano

Cars from all over Southern California are expected to participate in the open-class show, with trophies going to the top 15 entries.

The CARe Show will also include live entertainment by a popular local band, displays, vendor booths, opportunity drawings, and celebrity guests including the inspiration for Ruby's Diner, local resident Ruby Cavanaugh. Food and beverages will be available from presenting sponsor Ruby's Diner.

Surf City (Pacific Shoreline) Marathon - Huntington Beach

Annual 26.2 mile marathon travels along oceanfront course.

Taste of San Juan - San Juan Capistrano

Los Alamitos 'Race on the Base' - Los Alamitos

The yearly event has continued to provide not only a forum for local avid runners and walkers, but has also instilled a sense of pride and teamwork between the Los Alamitos City Council, the citizens of Los Alamitos, the Rossmoor Community Services District, and the local business community.

All proceeds will benefit the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center at the Joint Forces Training Base.

Civil War Re-enactment - Anaheim

The Civil War is brought to life! Professional Civil War re-enactors come from all over southern California to participate in this annual event held at St. Catherine's Military Academy.

Meet President Abraham Lincoln, Tour Union and Confederate encampments, Watch battles with over 200 re-enactors and visit the sutler’s marketplace.
