Newport Harbor has a long fishing history with dozens of sportfishing records for numerous gamefish. The waters surrounding Newport Harbor are considered some of the most fertile waters in Southern California and our ½ day trips regularly enjoy the great fishing that results with giant white sea bass, huge schools of barracuda, calico bass, sand bass, and dozens more. Our 7am to 5pm day trips fish the legendary waters of Catalina Island. Hundreds of fish per trip is common. Our captains and crews work continuously to ensure that you have a fun and relaxing trip.

No reservations are needed! Try out your new techniques on the 1/2 day trip departing immediately after the clinic!

Join us every Sunday (right after our Free Kid's Fishing Clinic) for our 12:45pm 1/2 Day Fishing Trip and kids fish free! One child will get a free 1/2 Day Fishing Trip (a savings of $25) per paying adult!

Newport Landing Sportfishing-Day Camps

Summer afternoon ½ day fishing trips offer complete instruction on techniques for deep sea fishing followed by 3 hours of fishing on our 72 foot fishing boat along the coasts of Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach. Barracuda, sand bass, calico bass, halibut, and many more provide lots of fishing action to test skills learned earlier that day. Ages 7 -12. Parental supervision is optional. Rental gear and everything needed for our fishing trips is available. $33 for our 5 hour fishing trips. Full day trips also available. May kids come out weekly with us. A great experience that opens up a whole new world for many, that of the ocean, marine life, and the nautical experience
