Microlaser Peel® … "The
Weekend Peel"
(Information provided by Dr.
Melissa Hawkins )
Softens fine lines * Improves skin texture
* Softens acne scars * Blends uneven pigmentation
MicroLaser
Peel® is the newest way to treat accumulated
sun damage, aging skin, fine lines and scars
without the downtime of a deep skin resurfacing.
This Erbium:YAG laser peel will exfoliate the
superficial layers (10 microns) or deeper layers
(20-50 micros) of the epidermis. The depth of
penetration is tailored to the individual and
the problem to be corrected. Uneven pigmentation,
fine epidermal lines and keratinization are
significantly improved with each treatment session.
Two to four Microlaser Peels may be necessary
to achieve desired results.
Topical
anesthesia is applied 30 minutes prior to the
procedure. Immediately following the MicroLaser
Peel® it looks as if you have sunburn. During
the next 2-3 days the redness begins to fade,
the superficial cells slough revealing smoother,
healthier and more vibrant skin.
If
the procedure is performed on a Thursday, you
can wear makeup and return to work the following
Monday. Deeper treatments yield more significant
improvement; however, more downtime is required
for healing. Results will vary according to
skin type, depth of peel and condition being
treated. A good skin care regimen is recommended
to enhance and maintain your results.
