Mommy and Me Fitness Classes

It is hard to keep up with the latest fitness
trends. When one is searching the internet,
you will find millions of get skinny quick diets
and workout programs. The sad thing is that
we don't gain 50 pounds overnight, so chances
are, we are not going to lose 50 pounds overnight.
If you find a diet allowing you to lose weight
that quickly, I am going to go out on a limb,
and say it is probably not very healthy.
In
order to create a healthy workout program, you
have to find a way to incorporate it into your
lifestyle (I know get skinny quick sounds so
much better). Finding a way to put exercise
into a busy schedule is hard enough before you
have children. How does one find a way to do
it after children?
Mommy
and Me fitness classes offer an opportunity
for parents to learn how to workout and encourage
activity in their children's lives. It is important
for parents to find a way to be active for their
own health, as well as to lead by example. Taking
a workout class with your child and other mommies
allows you to bond with your child while working
out. It also provides an opportunity to meet
other parents with children the same age as
yours. There are benefits for your child as
well.
Childhood
obesity is on the rise, due to inactivity and
poor nutrition choices. Physical education is
being taken out of a great number of schools,
and it is going to be left to parents to teach
their children the importance of exercise. There
is no better way to do this then to exercise
with your child. It is never too early to start,
because babies and toddlers learn through observation.
Taking a fitness class with your baby or toddler
demonstrates the importance of fitness to your
child. Instead of taking your child to a gym
and dropping them in baby-sitting, why not include
them in your workout program?
Parents are responsible for the health and education
of their children. Mommy and Me fitness classes
enable parents to start a life long habit of
exercise in their child's life.
