It is mostly open grassland and open hills with minimal trees.

Saddleback Mountain: (Santa Ana Mountains) These trails are some of the most interesting and diverse places to ride in all of OC. They range anywhere from rolling fireroad to the steepest and loosest of singletrack.

Directions: Exit the 55 Freeway at Chapman Ave. east. Chapman becomes Santiago Canyon Road as you cross Jamboree Blvd. Proceed 12.8 miles to Live Oak Canyon Road (Cook's Corner) and turn left (there is no right). Continue 4.4 miles to the Trabuco Creek crossing (just past Rose Canyon Road) turn left onto the Trabuco Creek dirt road. You can park here and ride about 5 miles to the trailhead, or drive to Holy Jim Canyon Road (just past the fire station). The parking area is on the left. From south county, exit Interstate 5 at El Toro Road and go east 7.6 miles to Live Oak Canyon Road. Turn right and proceed as described above.

Well organized Ski Vacations! Skiing is a big sport in ASA. We typically organize two Mammoth trips each month - a large bus trip where we get everybody together from all three clubs and stay in nice condos. The other is a smaller, more intimate "Deluxe 3-day" trip staying in an incredibly large and beautiful private home.
