Laguna Beach Music Festival - Laguna Beach
March 28 - April 3, 2022

An annual multi-day celebration featuring outstanding classical and contemporary concerts in intimate spaces, community outreach programs and dynamic special events.

The 19th annual Festival will be held March 24-28, 2021, in Laguna Beach featuring pianist and composer Conrad Tao as Festival Artistic Director, in collaboration with other artists. The Laguna Beach Music Festival is committed to offering free outreach events for students, seniors and the community-at-large.

Festival of Whales - Dana Point
March

The annual Dana Point Festival of Whales celebrates the return of the once-endangered California Gray Whale with a leviathan-size event. In addition to whale watching at the height of whale watching season, festival includes a kick-off parade, Sand Sculpting, Ocean Awareness Day, musical entertainment, on-the-water Concert, Whale of a Block Party, Art Shows, Pancake Breakfast, BBQs, Kids Interpretive Crafts, Classic Car Exhibits, Lectures/Seminars at multiple venues including the Ocean Institute, Historic Walking Tours, Paddling Events, Sailing/Rowing/Kayak/SUP Demos, plus much more!

Annual Irish Festival on the Green - Mission Viejo

There will be plenty to do for all ages: OC favorite Cillian’s Bridge will be on the stage, OC Herding, BFOC Irish Dance, inflatables for the kids, Euro Bungee, dart and axe throws, free crafts and games, face painting and so much more. Swallows Day Fiesta Grande - San Juan Capistrano

This night of Old West entertainment consists of four contests are rolled into one! Best Dressed Old West Man, Best Dressed Old West Woman, Best Belt Buckle, and the Hairiest Man (best moustache and/or beard). So don your finest Old West outfit, belt buckle or facial hair! and enter one or more of the contests. There is a $5 entry fee (pay when you arrive) per category for each contestant entered.

For the more timid, spectators are always welcome at the hilarious Fiesta Grandé.

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center Spring Family Arts Night

Join us for our annual Spring Family Arts Night, as we open our art studios for your budding artist to get to see our space and meet some of our on-staff artists. Swallows Day Parade & Mercado -

March 12, 2022

The Parade takes place in down-town San Juan Capistrano. This is the nation's largest non-motorized parade. It is totally organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association. Arrive early; most street closures are by 10.00 a.m. The parade begins promptly at 11 am.

The Mercado is a Street Fair and Market Place where you can eat, drink, and shop at over 100 booths. It is THE place to be after the parade! Listen and dance to the music of The Working Cowboy Band, a traditional country music band.

Bockbierfest - Anaheim

Every spring, the Phoenix Club and local beer lovers, gather to celebrate the arrival of Bockbier, a traditional Bavarian beer that is dark in color and relatively high in alcohol content. All are invited to join in at this lively event, where Bockbier flows and the Express Band entertains. Event includes live music by the Express Band, folk dancing and classic German food.

South County Pet Expo - Lake Forest

This exciting and informative event, presented by Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett, Orange County Board of Supervisors, OC The Pet Adoption Center OC, and Saddleback Church. Family Music and Arts Festival - Irvine

 

This nine day event will be amped up with music, dancing, art and more at Kidstock Music & Arts Festival at Pretend City Children’s Museum. This family friendly festival will have your creative talents flowing and frolicking through our Traveling Exhibit and Museum. Dance to the beat of your own drum alongside the live performances featured 11:30 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. daily. Also this year is the Avanti Aerial Artists who will show families that athleticism and creativity go hand in hand. In addition, the popular “Paint Yard” installation makes a comeback for this year’s festival giving families a chance to paint a car!

$13.95 general admission price. Cost is included with museum admission.

Spend a fun-filled day with family and friends under the sycamore trees while learning about Caspers Wilderness Park’s natural and cultural history at Adventure Day! A giant animal entertainment and education festival. It’s the largest pet and pet product expo in the world. Over 1,000 animals will entertain you in stage shows, competitions and demonstrations including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, goats, pigs, llamas, rabbits, miniature horses and more. Bike Safety Rodeo - Online

Bring your bikes and safety gear!

The Beaches, Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with the Orange County Sherriff's Department, is hosting a bike safety rodeo. May is recognized as Bicycle Safety Month and is a great time to remind bicyclists and motorists to share our roadways by obeying the traffic laws and respecting each other's rights.

For children ages 5 and older. The event is FREE of charge but pre-registration is required and you must have a parent/guardian with you for 5-8 years. Bicycling is one of the best ways to get exercise, see the sights and reduce your carbon footprint. However, bicyclists face a host of hazards, especially now with more e-bikes on the roadways. Join us for some fun, giveaways, and educational opportunities as we celebrate May as Bicycle Safety Month.

Scottish Fest - Costa Mesa
Memorial Day Weekend

Anaheim Children's Festival - Anaheim

Fun for the whole family with free arts and crafts, dance lessons and performing arts classes. Over 50 organizations, city departments and more bring art projects to the Park atmosphere and invite the kids to “try art”.

Children’s Festival invites entertainers from throughout Orange County to perform on one of two stages and share the joy of dance, song and more. Cultural dance is shared, kaoroke will be introduced this year, cheerleading and more. Brewer Brothers Model Kit & Hobby Expo - Huntington Beach

For Model Kit & Hobby enthusiats, Old World Village will have some great Vendors lined up this year. The Line-Up includes: Multiple Model Kit Vendors (Cars, Ships, Planes, Helicopters, Tanks, and Armored Vehicles), 1/6 scale Figure and Armor Vendors, Toy Soldier Vendors, Miniature Gaming Vendors, Military Book and Decal Vendors, Documentary and Movie DVD Vendors, Die-cast Toy Vendors and so on. Not to be left out…we will also be having our traditional Model Make and Take for first-time Builders to educate and instruct our future Model builders of America.

Santa Ana Zoo's Party for the Planet/ Endangered Species Day - Santa Ana

Open to the public, Party for the Planet is a fun-filled day that celebrates wildlife while promoting conservation and educating Zoo guests about the different ways they can explore and help protect the environment. The event is FREE for FOSAZ Members and included in the price of general admission.

Throughout the event, Zoo guests can create conservation-friendly crafts and play fun games, as well as learn from hands-on demonstrations and education stations featuring animals, recycling, sustainable living and a variety of special guests including members of the Santa Ana City Water District, Fullerton Arboretum and other community organizations.

Doheny Blues Festival - Dana Point

The Annual Blues Festival is the true kick-off to summer with a weekend filled with music.

The International Food Court at Doheny Blues will have a variety of authentic vendors sampling everything from BBQ Ribs to Cajun Sausage to Vegetarian Pitas. Dachshund Races / Round-up Rescur - Huntington

Great Family Fun! Come see these short legged but swift 'wiener dogs' race to the finish line once a month at Old World Village.

Bring your doxies and your whole family for a really fun day! Some of our adoptable doxies will be there for “show and tell”. We will be selling tickets for our amazing raffle as well. Bring your appetite. Bratwurst, German food, and drinks will be available from the BBQ Kitchen in the event area.

$5 admission fee for adults, $3 for kids. Admission Tickets sold at #38. Under 21 you must be accompanied by your parents.
