ANAHEIM

Veterans Day Ceremony

Veterans from all branches of the military are honored in Anaheim on a special Veterans Day celebration hosted by the City of Anaheim. The ceremony is typically held at the City's Veterans Monument in downtown Anaheim and the public is invited to attend and pay tribute to the brave men and women who willingly served our country.

Free to attend, all are welcome.

DANA POINT

Veterans of Foreign War Memorial Day Event
November 11, 2021
10:00 am

VFW Post 9934 and the City of Dana Point will present a Veterans Day program on Saturday, November 11, at the Dana Point Veterans Memorial starting at 10:00 am. The Memorial is located at 34201 Selva Road, at Strand Beach, just off Pacific Coast Highway.

The program will include an unveiling of the updated memorial plaques which list the names of persons who have died during the past year who were members of VFW Post 9934.

FULLERTON

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony
Thursday, November 11, 2021

2021 DETAILS:
Each year, a parade and ceremony honoring American veterans is hosted by the American Legion Post 142, the Fullerton Emblem Club #469, and the City of Fullerton.The parade begins at Harbor Blvd and Wilshire Avenue at 10:30 a.m. The parade participants march north on Harbor Blvd and culminate at the Hillcrest Park Great Lawn at 1200 N. Harbor Blvd.

The ceremony is held next to the War Memorial at 11:00 a.m. The program consists of songs, prayers, inspirational messages, and other remembrances to honor those who served their country through military service. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

Veteran's Day Ceremony and Car Show
November 11, 2021
9 AM - 2 PM

The annual Veteran's Day Ceremony and Car Show in Huntington Beach remembers and honors the sacrifices of those Americans who gave their time, their fighting spirit, and sometimes their lives in war. Beginning at Pier Plaza with a Veteran's Day Ceremony, the day continues with hundreds of classic, collector cars, customs, motorcycles, and more at the city beach parking lot across the street from major resort hotels, Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa, and The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel. Enjoy various vendors with great food, stage entertainment including performances from local bands, and more.

Attendance is free though there is a fee if you plan to register and show a car. The event registration and donations support special veteran’s programs with proceeds from the event donated to nonprofit organizations.

Each year, Veterans Day reminds us of all the brave men and women who fight for freedom on our behalf. The members of our military make countless sacrifices to protect the lives we enjoy in this country. What they do takes an incredible amount of courage, and they deserve our most sincere thanks. Nuvision will be honoring active military and veterans with a free $25 gas card giveaway at the Edinger branch in Huntington Beach, the Lakewood branch, and the Monterey Park branch between Monday, November 8th , Tuesday November 9th and Wednesday, November 10th*.

Pretend City Children's Museum: Remembering Veterans Day
November 11 , 2021

Today at Pretend City we’re recognizing our Veterans with educational activities and memorable events. This day is dedicated to teaching our young guests about why we appreciate our veterans and how we can show our appreciation. Join us as we show our respect and celebrate those who have sacrificed for our freedom!

Smart Art (Times Vary): Remembrance Wreath: Celebrate this special day in our Art Studio by adding to our remembrance wreath. This community project is an artistic way to show appreciation for our service members while making new friends.

• Let’s Move: Atten-tion! Calling all cadets! It’s time to get physical in this mini (not too strenuous) boot camp. Come hone your gross motor skills as we duck, march, and jump into formation.

• Sensational Story Time: Join us in Orange Plaza as we read the heartwarming story, Hero Mom which will teach your children about our nation’s veterans and why we honor them on this special day.

Special guest speakers, patriotic music, and the new Military Banner Recognition Program recipients will be included in the event program.

Veterans Day Free Patriotic Concert

Salute those who served! The Veterans Day celebration returns to the magnificent East Room of the Nixon Library with a spectacular presentation of patriotism by the famed Huntington Beach Concert Band. The Huntington Beach Concert Band is a fan-favorite at the Nixon Library and has been performing for Southern California audiences for over forty years.

Veterans will receive free admission all day. Admission to the museum galleries for the general public is not included with registration.
