This class will bring you up to date on the latest canning process recommendations, teach you how to process your food safely and tell you why you are doing it that way. You will learn what equipment is needed and proper storage methods. A recipe to make escabeche – a simple but zesty combination of crunchy pickled vegetables that is often served with Mexican cuisine – will be taught and prepared in class for participants to take home.

Mozart’s “Requiem,” which was left unfinished at the time of the composer’s death, now enjoys an elevated status as one of the most magnificent achievements in sacred music. Featuring the Grammy Award-winning Pacific Chorale.

Life has begun in Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire. Milk is being delivered. Breakfast is on the stove. We meet the town gossips, the boys who play baseball and the choirmaster with a secret sorrow. And soon teenagers George Gibbs and Emily Webb will go from friends to puppy love to wedding day and beyond—two families forever joined together. And as they come to terms with the meaning of their lives, this Pulitzer Prize-winning American classic beautifully celebrates our own shared humanity.

San Juan Capistrano Walking Tour - San Juan Capistrano

The Walking Tour visits two San Juan Capistrano adobes built in the 1790s and the Victorian Pryor House. Hear tales of Buchard the pirate, Juan Flores the bandito, Chola Martina the bruja and much more.

The Historical Society gives tours every Saturday at 1:00 pm starting at the train depot. Tours last about 45 minutes and include the Society’s own collection of historic structures as well as other homes in the Los Rios District. As the oldest, continuously inhabited street in California, Los Rios Street is a charming neighborhood with a colorful history.
