Newport Beach Film Festival - Newport Beach
October 21-28, 2021

Set in beautiful Newport Beach, a few blocks away from spectacular coastline and less than an hour from Hollywood, the Festival annually host several premieres and galas for a singular festival experience. This year's festival will be screening over 300 features and short films and welcoming over 500 filmmakers and 50,000 film fans to Orange County.

Orange County Children's Book Festival - Costa Mesa
Special reading challenge will begin October 22, 2021. The Festival will return in 2022.

For 2021 - Announcing an out-of-this-world event presented by the Orange County Children’s Book Festival Launching on October 22, 2021 is the first S.T.E.A.M. Race to Space Reading Challenge! Rocket over to to learn more!

The Orange County Children’s Book Festival is designed specifically for children of all ages. This family-fun festival attracts more than 30,000 visitors who will be entertained and delighted by authors, illustrators, booksellers, animals, storytellers, costumed characters, train rides, crafts, food and entertainment and much, much more.

Walk to End Alzheimer's - San Clemente

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to ending this disease. Because like flowers, our participants don't stop when something's in their way. They keep raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening — and you can join us at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are our top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, we ask that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.

16th Japanese Classic Car Show - Anaheim

America's 1st & Original Large Scale Japanese Car Show Dedicated to Old School Japanese Cars at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. More than 400 of all Japanese brands automobiles of 60s to 90’s kyusha will be gathered.

This year, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our show within a show, the Japanese Classic Motorcycle Show! We will also honor those we lost last year, including Hot Wheels designer Ryu Asada and Yutaka “Mr K” Katayama’s friend and assistant, Johnnie Gable. And of course, our title sponsors such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Acura and Yokohama Tire will have large displays as well. As a special bonus, because this year’s show falls close to Halloween, we welcome JDM-themed costumes

Dinosaur Dash - Tustin

Run for Education! A fund-raiser for the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, this year you can run and ride for education! The Dinosaur Dash features 4 events: 5k and 10k timed races for all ages, a 2k non-timed “Fun Run” and the non-timed 50k bike tour. After the race, there will be entertainment, a Food Court and Expo with games, activities and more. There's fun for the whole family.

Dia de los Muertos at Pretend City

Hola Amigos! Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Hispanic tradition that celebrates loved ones who have passed. At Pretend City, we are celebrating Dia de los Muertos with vibrant, educational activities for little ones. Bring a photo of your loved one to add to our special Altar and partake in the celebration!

• Smart Art (Times Vary): Colorful skulls are a symbol of Dia de los Muertos. Stop by the Art Studio to explore sugar cubes and watercolor, along with sugar skull molds and sensory materials!

• Sensational Storytime: Dia de los Muertos is a time to remember loved ones who have passed on from this life. Join us for this short story that introduces the traditions of this celebration and how we can honor our deceased loved ones. After the story, children will make their very own marigold to take home.

The Swedish Womens Education Association of Orange County (SWEA) will hold their annual Christmas Fair at Old World, Huntington Beach, right before the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. This will be the 7th year the SWEA Christmas Fair comes to Old World. The SWEA Christmas Fair, takes full advantage of the large Old world Festival Hall and spacious outside patio and beer garden to accommodate the large number of vendors and the 1,000+ people that attend the event.

Turkey Trot - Dana Point
Thanksgiving Day

California's Largest Thanksgiving Day Run Event - The Dana Point Turkey Trot - One of America's Most Scenic Runs... hosted by The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce. Tour the beautiful beach, majestic cliffs and coves of Dana Point.

This flat, scenic race features a 10k, 5k and Kids Gobble Wobble. Participants will receive a shirt and medal.

Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through April.

Summer and fall bring the giant blue whales. They can be seen from May through October

Humpback whales, finback whales, & minke whales are viewed year round. Giant marine protected park provides pristine habitat for whales and dolphin and means a simple 2-2.5 hour cruise is all that needed to see whales and dolphin from Dana Point and Newport Beach
