1978. Protests break out across Iran as five close girlfriends plan weddings, trade dirty jokes and try to live their young lives. As the revolution escalates, each woman is forced to face an uncertain future by staying in Iran or leaving it. In this enlightened comedy, Pulitzer Prize winner and Orange County native Sanaz Toossi chronicles a decade of life, as best friends become friends long lost, searching for the bond that once defined them.

2025 Tet Parade - Westminster
Saturday, February 1, 2025
Events start at 8:30 am

The Tet Parade is a grandiose event that has celebrated the Lunar New Year in Little Saigon for over two decades. The purpose is not only to celebrate the Lunar New Year, but to celebrate the Vietnamese-American community of Orange County centered in Little Saigon. The Tet Parade features floats, marching bands, lion dances, color guards, veterans and youth organizations, martial arts, multi-cultural attires, elected officials, scout organizations, community organizations, and an array of local and international businesses.

Join us Saturday, February 1, 2025, for our Parade Opening Ceremony at 8:30 AM; the parade begins at 9:30 AM. For more info on attending the parade, becoming a sponsor, or participating click here.

Parade begins at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street, and heads eastbound on Bolsa Avenue. The Parade will turn right on Bushard Street and head southbound, ending at Bishop Place.

Black History Parade and Unity Festival - Anaheim

Members of the community are invited to the event to enjoy a well attended parade which includes noted community members, elected officials, community groups, school and church units, singing and dancing units, city service vehicles, and community members who have participated in the history of Orange County and surrounding areas.

Surf City USA Marathon & Half Marathon - Huntington Beach

This award-winning, Boston-Qualifying, course is considered one of the best courses in the country and is well known for being scenic and flat. The Kid's Pet Parade & Animal Rescue Expo

Part of the annual Fiesta de las Golondrinas celebration. Kids between the ages of 5 to 12 can show off their favorite animals in a contest for, The Cutest, Most Unusual, Best Team Costume (owner and pet), Funniest & Most Obedient (pet, not child).

A special "Judges Choice" prize will be awarded and this winner will be given the opportunity to be in the Swallows' Day Parade.

Whale Watching - Dana Point & Newport Beach

Gray Whales migrate annually along the west coast of North America. They can be seen from the Orange County coast from December through April.

Summer and fall bring the giant blue whales. They can be seen from May through October

Humpback whales, finback whales, & minke whales are viewed year round. Giant marine protected park provides pristine habitat for whales and dolphin and means a simple 2-2.5 hour cruise is all that needed to see whales and dolphin from Dana Point and Newport Beach
